You will prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes in therapeutic and diagnostic studies by using a variety of radioisotope equipment. You will prepare stock solutions of radioactive materials and calculate doses to be administered by radiologists, and subject patients to radiation. You may also execute blood volume, redcell survival, and fat absorption studies following standard laboratory techniques.
You will perform administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Some administrative duties may incude scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance purposes. Your activities may include policy planning; employee screening, training, and development; and organizational development and analysis. You may work with management to reorganize the work setting to improve worker productivity.
